If you are in Italy with kids at the beginning of April, do not miss this wonderful event that will take place in Spoleto, one of the most beautiful medieval villages of our country. Spoleto is located in the Umbria region, center of Italy. It is just a couple of hours away from Rome and Florence and it is surely worth a visit, with its narrow streets, its architectural masterpieces and wonderful food.
From 4th to 6th April 2014, Spoleto will host the eight edition of a truly unmissable event for kids and teenagers: Fantacity. For three days, this beautiful Umbrian village will be the stage for a multitude of workshops, games and shows. And, best of all, they will all be free!
Fantacity 2014: the program
When I first saw the kids program, I literally fell in love with it and decided straight away that the family had to attend! Really! There will be all sort of wonderful workshops, all dedicated to little ones: origami, weaving, philosophy, cooking… There will also be the opportunity to learn how to make a real Roman mosaic or to join a treasure hunt through the streets of Spoleto or to play in team and learn all about about Europe!
There will also be shows, exhibitions and guided tours for families (these will be free for children up to 18 years). It will be possible, for example, to join the “Romans World” guided tour, to discover with the visit to Casa Romana (Roman House) and to the Archaeological Museum. Or you could join the tour “Power Places : the Lombards in Spoleto” with a visit to the centers of Lombards power in Spoleto.
