A holiday in which you can enjoy interesting cultural visits and amazing sport activities without spending money is a great opportunity for the whole family. That’s why today I would like to tell you about the  Brixen Card, a very convenient idea by the Brixen Tourist Board.

The card is offered for free to all the guests staying in hotels, B&Bs, apartments and holiday farms in the Brixen-Plose area, in Northern Italy. It is valid from the arrival until the departure day, check-in and check-out dates included. So, we recommend you not to waste your time. As soon as you arrive, check-in at the hotel – even if the room is not available yet – and start to enjoy the marvelous attractions of South-Tyrol.

We saved almost €100 in 3 days

We used the card as much as we could, saving € 97,50 in three days for two adults and a child. Isn’t that great?

With Brixen Card, we took a free ride on the Plose Cablecars and we spent an unforgettable day on the snowy Dolomites.

With the card, we visited the Novacella Abbey (Abbazia di Novacella), a unique monastery in Italy which still follows the Augustinian Canonic rule.

Here you can learn everything about it, visit the old library – with hundreds of medieval manuscripts – and one of the most beautiful baroque church in the Alps. Or you can taste the wines from the abbey’s cellars, the infusion-tea made with Alpine herbs and other delicious local products.

By using the card, we  also visited for free the Archaeological Museum in Bolzano, getting involved in the mysterious story of Ötzi, the Iceman, and the incredible discovery of his mummified body in the snows of the Similaun glacier.

But the Brixen Card includes a lot of fun too! Why not enojoying the warm waters of Acquarena? This is a huge swimming center with hydro-massage outdoor pools, a canal with artificially generated waves and a 64 meters long Helter-skelter, the ideal place both for parents and their kids!
